Steve Jobs’ three powerful stories: Connecting the Dots, Love & Loss, and Facing Mortality, offer timeless lessons on trusting the journey, overcoming setbacks, and living with purpose.
One of my 'take to heart' previous week is the 3 stories of Apple's Steve Jobs.
* The First Story - Connecting the Dots (Young Steve Jobs in college, dropped out, attends a calligraphy class)
"Jobs' first story was about connecting the dots. He spoke about his decision to drop out of college and how, in retrospect, it led him to one of the most significant choices of his life."
"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards."
"His lesson? Trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future."
* The Second Story - Love and Loss (Apple’s early days, Jobs' fired, founded NeXT and Pixar)
"The second story was about love and loss. Jobs shared his journey of founding Apple, being fired from the company he started, and finding a new passion in the face of adversity."
"Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith."
"His message was clear: Keep looking for what you love, and don't settle."
* The Third Story - Death (Representing health challenges and reflections on life)
"The third story was about death. Jobs talked about his brush with cancer and how it reshaped his perspective on life."
"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life."
"His final lesson: Live each day as if it were your last."
