Investing in our youth is investing in our future. We need to train, nurture, and provide opportunities for the next generation to scale up in various fields like Tech, Music, Media, Art & Craft, and Content Creation.
In 2017, my friend(Dayo Moyo) and I faced a challenge. We wanted to create a mobile app that would revolutionize exam preparation, but within our low or no-tech community, finding skilled tech persons was nearly impossible. With no other choice, we reached out to friends outside our community for help. This experience ignited a spark in me. 

By 2018, I felt a profound burden to develop a tech community within our local area. This led to the birth of a free Saturday skill development class called Kescreative and StarLab Initiative, which later evolved into ValuePlus Initiative when partners and sponsors joined in. 
Our mantra was simple: "If we can't get them, let's produce them."

By 2019, our efforts were bearing fruit. We had developed about 25 creatives and tech geniuses in the Alimosho Community. The success of the ValuePlus Prevarsity Conference 2019, titled "#makingyourcertificatesatisficate," is a testament to our impact. The event saw representation from five schools, support from the Chairman of Jemi-Alade Estate, and an event hall donation from Oaks Garden Cultural Centre, all organized by our first batch of skill development graduates.

In 2021, our initiative continued to thrive. The 2020/2021 interns at Kescreative were given a chance to run a Digital Skill project, yielding an impressive 2.2 million naira in less than six months. Today, StarLab Academy has taken the initiative to new heights, becoming a youth-focused talent school with a Youth Advisory Board run by the youth themselves.
This journey has taught me one crucial lesson: giving our youth a chance is the best investment we can make. They have the potential to transform our world. Let's provide them with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
